Custom Braces for Smiles of All Ages
Braces are for everyone — from your seven-year-old’s first check-up to your own “why not now?” moment at seventy. That’s one of the things we love most about orthodontics: there’s no wrong age to invest in a smile you feel good about.
These days, we see just as many adults in our chairs as kids and teens — parents getting the smile they’ve always wanted, professionals finally checking “fix my teeth” off their list, and grandparents deciding it’s never too late. Wherever you are in life, if you’re ready for a change, we’re here to help.
And braces today aren’t necessarily the braces you remember. We use digital treatment planning to map out your treatment before we ever place a bracket, allowing us to plan each movement with precision from the very beginning. We also use indirect bonding, a technique that allows us to place your brackets accurately and efficiently in one appointment.
And if you’d rather your braces stay a little more under the radar, we offer ceramic brackets that blend in with your natural teeth. They work just like traditional braces, but they’re a more discreet option for anyone who would rather keep their orthodontic treatment low-key.
However you choose to get there, the goal is the same: a healthy, confident smile that feels like you.
Frequently Asked Questions About Braces
-
Getting braces on doesn’t hurt. You’ll feel some pressure, but the placement itself shouldn’t be painful.
The soreness usually starts a few hours later. The best way we can describe it? Your teeth feel like they have a headache. Your teeth have been sitting in the same spot for years, and now we’re asking them to move — so it’s normal for them to be a little unhappy about it at first.
The first few days are usually the most noticeable, and then it gets easier. As your teeth get used to moving, the soreness after appointments tends to be milder and shorter-lived.
And if something ever doesn’t feel right, just call us. We’re always happy to help.

It depends! Every smile is different, so the cost of treatment depends on your specific needs and treatment plan rather than a one-size-fits-all price.
What we can promise is that we’ll always be upfront about your investment. We offer no-interest in-house financing, flexible monthly payments spread throughout treatment, and a hometown hero courtesy for teachers, first responders, military members, and healthcare workers who take care of our community. We also accept HSA and FSA funds.
We believe orthodontic treatment should feel doable — not like something you have to put off forever because of the price. We’re always happy to talk through your options and find a plan that works for your family.

It depends on your smile, your goals, and where we’re starting.
For many patients, treatment is around 24 months, but we see cases anywhere from about 9 to 30 months. At your consultation, we’ll give you a personalized estimate based on your smile — not someone else’s.
We also use digital treatment planning to help us plan your treatment as precisely as possible from the beginning.
Of course, braces are a little bit of a team sport. Keeping your appointments, taking care of your braces, and following your instructions all play a big part in keeping treatment on track.
We’ll keep you posted along the way, so you’ll always know how you’re progressing toward that finish line.

Never.
We treat patients starting at age seven and beyond, and there is absolutely no expiration date on wanting a smile you love.
Maybe you’ve been thinking about braces for years. Maybe you’re finally at a place in life where you’re ready to do something for yourself. Or maybe you just looked in the mirror one day and thought, why not now?
If you’re ready, let’s GO for it.

The short answer? They both work.
Metal braces are the classic, tried-and-true option and are a great choice for all kinds of orthodontic treatment.
Ceramic braces use tooth-colored brackets that blend in more naturally with your smile, making them a more discreet option if you’d rather your braces be a little less noticeable.
There’s no “better” choice — it really comes down to what you prefer.
Either way, you’re working toward the same thing: a smile you love.

The good news? You don’t have to give up everything you love just because you have braces. You’ll just need to be a little more thoughtful about how you eat certain things.
We ask that you avoid anything really hard, sticky, or chewy that could damage your brackets or wires — think ice, hard candies, caramel, taffy, and anything you might be tempted to bite or chew on that isn’t actually food.
Some foods you may think are completely off-limits are actually just fine with a little modification. Apples and carrots? Cut them into smaller pieces instead of biting straight into them. Corn on the cob? Just cut it off the cob first.
And here’s one that surprises people: you can chew gum! We recommend sugar-free gum and ask that you avoid anything particularly sticky.
We’ll give you a simple list of foods to watch out for when you get your braces, but our biggest piece of advice is to use a little common sense. Take care of your braces, and they’ll take care of the rest.

Getting your braces on is a lot easier — and a lot less intimidating — than most people expect.
Before we place anything, we’ll make sure you understand the plan and know exactly what we’re doing and why. We use digital treatment planning to map out your tooth movements ahead of time, and we use indirect bonding to position your brackets accurately before they ever go on your teeth.
On the day you get your braces, we’ll clean and prepare your teeth, place your brackets, and connect them with your wires. We’ll walk you through everything as we go, so there are no surprises.
The appointment usually takes about an hour and a half, and there’s no drilling or shots involved. You’ll be able to talk, eat, and go about your day afterward — your teeth may just feel a little different at first.
Most patients are surprised by how easy the appointment actually is. And once we’re finished, you’ll officially be on your way to your new smile!
