Hey there, I’m Dr. Avery Gil, a board-certified orthodontist, mom of two, and the face you'll see every time you walk through the doors of Gil Orthodontics. I love orthodontics because it is the perfect combination of science and art. I love studying the details of each smile, understanding what makes each case unique, and creating a treatment plan specifically for that person. While I love the technical side of what I do, my favorite part is watching a patient’s confidence grow throughout treatment and seeing what happens when they finally feel comfortable sharing their smile.

Outside the office, my favorite title is Mom. My husband, Andy and I have two amazing, enthusiastic, busy toddlers, which means our family is almost always on the go. You’ll find us at the zoo, searching for a restaurant with a playground, or planning our next trip to a Disney Park. Life with two little ones is busy, messy, and a whole lot of fun—and it’s a big part of who I am as a doctor, too. When I’m not working or chasing toddlers, I’m probably listening to Taylor Swift or ’90s country, cheering on the 49ers, obsessing over my fantasy football lineup, or enjoying my favorite comfort food: French fries. I also love a themed holiday party—and honestly, just about any excuse to celebrate. So if you send an invitation my way, make sure it doesn’t get lost in the mail! The Hill Country has been a special part of my story for a long time, and I feel incredibly lucky to now call it home. I’m so excited to bring my family, my experience, and my passion for orthodontics back to the place where my love for this community first began.
